    The celebrated Marennes-Oléron oysters, “éclades” (mussels cooked in a bed of pine needles) Pineau, seafood… Many charming local markets take place daily in the surrounding villages.

    An incomparable architectural wealth, a range of monuments and sites such as the Romanesque churches of Saintonge, remains of the Roman period. Côte Sauvage where there are frequent concerts.
